Hair extensions training at First Salon
01 — Why hair extensions

The most in-demand skill behind the chair.

Hair extensions are one of the fastest-growing services in the industry — and one of the most profitable. A single confident extension stylist can transform a booking calendar, with installs averaging several times the price of a standard cut and built-in maintenance appointments every few weeks.

But poorly applied hair extensions damage hair, hurt clients, and hurt reputations. This course is built around doing it right: the prep, the precision, the aftercare, and the client communication that turns a one-time install into a long-term guest.

02 — Methods covered

Three hair extension methods, mastered.

Tape-in extensions

The fastest-growing extension method. Learn precise placement, sandwich technique, removal, and re-taping for repeat clients.

Sew-in (weft) extensions

Hand-tied and machine wefts. Beaded rows, foundation building, tension control, and seamless blending for natural density.

Fusion / keratin bond

Individual strand application with hot or cold fusion tools. Section work, bond sizing, and safe removal without breakage.
